Automated
Protective Products (APP) is a line of packaging products from Automated
Solutions, LLC. Automated Solutions, LLC has its roots in developing automated
manufacturing systems before the availability of computers. Early systems were
for automated sewing, packaging, gift-wrapping, bow making, and many more.
Our first computerized equipment was developed in 1975 for General
Electric using a 4-bit processor programmed in assembly code. From this
beginning, many projects followed including automated welding, CNC drilling and
routing; first for the furniture industry and later for the aerospace industry.
The present company, Automated Solutions, LLC, was started in 1998. Our
first project was to manufacture improved cutting surfaces for CNC wheel
cutters that are used to cut fabric and other single-ply materials. In 2005 we
introduced a new improved type of packaging primarily for upholstered
furniture. In 2006 we started a new technical products division to design and
build sophisticated computerized equipment utilizing a new novel vision
technology.
Our first new technical product, MatchWizard, is an
attachment to existing cutting equipment to automatically bow and skew
patterned fabric without operator assistance. In 2007, we introduced a large
format digitizer to generate DXF standard output for reverse engineering large
objects.
We have also developed a new leather cutting system called
HideSaver which is designed to increase cutting yield and labor. Other projects
utilizing our new novel vision technology are also under development.
